The first two Products that most IT managers think about when they hear the word "ERP" are SAP AG and Oracle Corp. 

But, the choices are not limited to these two giants. Even if you're a huge company with over a Rs 1000 Crores of revenue, there are plenty of options out there, and many of them are viable ones. Some of the real good one’s are : INFOR, LAWSON, MS DYNAMICS, TALLY ERP and FINSYS ERP.  

Infor : It is a pretty big company. It evolved out of takeover of BAAN and 6 other ERP Software companies, by INFOR inc. However its presence in india is very very limited

Lawson Software : The company has close to 5,000 customers across the global, with expertise in the manufacturing, distribution, health care, and service industries. It is one of the ERP packages, if your budget is Rs. 5 Crores upwards.

Microsoft Dynamics ( Formerly Navision) : After being taken over by Microsoft, the Navision brand became MS Dynamics. With the Microsoft brand, and marketing, it is doing a good sell. This product gives Good features as well. However its success depends on the implementation partner. Some of them are good. Need to make a lot of effort yourself too.

Tally ERP  : This big daddy of Accounting Software in india, also ventured into ERP space some years ago. with Mixed bag of success and failures. However the advantage they push is that atleast your basic accounts is easy to implement. !!

Finsys ERP  : This product from Finsys Infotech Limited, is a rising star too. Giving the big daddies the run for their money. According to Finsys team, this is a true value for money. and Success is reasonably assured, if proper implementation methodology is followed. Another assuring factor is that the development team and also the shareholder/top management is itself involved in implementation.

This gives a client a assurance , that it is in safe hands.
